Karen S. Ottley (Howell), Class of '60

Moved to San Diego after graduating from HS and there met my one and only Terry. After the birth of our two daughters we moved to Keflavik Iceland where my husband was Personnel Director of the Nato Base. After three years in the land of the midnight sun we returned to the states and settled in New Hampshire for 18 years. Except for a short 2 year tour at Subic Bay, Phillipines. Eventually Terry retired and we moved to Arizon for 4 1/2 years, but alas the heat was too much for us and we finally decided to settle in Western North Carolina. We have a daughter that is a Social Worker in Chapel Hill and has two girls. And our other daughter is a RN in Labor and Delivery at a hospital in Hendersonville, NC and she has a son. Between trips overseas I was a Dental Asst. for eight years and an Operating Room Scheduling Secretary at Portsmouth Hospital in NH for 6 1/2 years. I also stayed busy doing mommy things like Girl Souts and library duty. Hobbies include gardening, quilting, reading, a little golf and tennis. Thats what I've been doing for 40 years!
