Michael "Mike" Evans, Class of '72

At Baker, I seemed to spend most of my time avoiding trouble of some kind. It seems that the teachers believed that I should have exercised more of my potential. Baker was a great place to shape ideas, experiment with different behaviors, and a safe place to transition to adulthood. Most people don't believe the experiences.

After Baker I earned a Master of Social Work, worked for the United Way system of charitable organizations, married, and now direct the largest public social services agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Richmond). Also own a farm far from the city for relaxation.

April, 1996
